Detection of Urban Underground Drainage System by Pipe Endoscope

Once the rainy season comes, there will always be many reports of waterlogging in a certain city. Often three consecutive days of torrential rain can plunge certain cities into the embarrassment of waterlogging. The city fell one after another in front of the heavy rain. 1. Why are urban drainage systems clogged?

More than 80% of the roads in cities are now covered by impervious materials such as concrete and asphalt. Rainwater cannot penetrate, so urban drainage pipes are the only way for drainage. However, nearly 80% of rainwater drainage pipes have sediments, and the thickness of sediment in about half of rainwater drainage pipes accounts for 10% to 50% of the pipe diameter. Therefore, in order to dredge the rainwater drainage system, many government departments purchase equipment such as pipe endoscope and pipe CCTV camera.


2. How does pipe endoscope work?

Pipe endoscope is a new type of testing instrument used for non-destructive testing of drainage pipes. Drainage pipelines are buried deep underground. Once there is poor drainage, pipeline maintenance personnel often have to dig a large area of the road to find the location and cause of the blockage. Due to the crisscrossing of underground drainage pipes, it is extremely difficult to find leaks when problems occur. While the introduction of sewer endoscopic technology detection can not only save the labor and inconvenience caused by road excavation but also complete sewer inspection and repair on roads with high traffic and pedestrian flow. The sewer endoscope can not only see whether the pipeline is obstructed but also find the specific reason and specific location of the pipeline at the earliest time.
